Angela Carstensen is a theatrical costume technician who specializes in pattern matching and stitching. She started sewing when she was six years old; hand sewing Barbie clothes from her mother’s quilt fabric scraps. That ingenuity has stayed with her throughout her career. 

She spent four summers at The Mac-Haydn Theatre where she developed her leadership skills with the guidance of Jimm Halliday. During her time there, Angela was fortunate enough to become the costume shop manager in 2017. Leading to becoming nominated for Outstanding Costume Design by The Berkshire Theatre Awards in 2018.

On top of her Regional work Angela also took up Touring in theater. Joining The Sound of Music National Tour ‘18-’19 and The Spongebob Musical ‘19-’20 as Assistant Wardrobe Supervisor. Post COVID Angela joined Waitress the Musical ‘21 as their Head Wardrobe Supervisor.

Angela graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with honors with a B.A in Theatre Technology.
